Research at the fh gesundheit is aimed at high-quality, applied research that contributes to the population's health and health maintenance. This also honours the commitment to a research-led culture in line with the fh gesundheit's mission statement "we educate the future".
Key research areas
The focus areas of the fh gesundheit cover current and highly socially relevant topics that are of regional, national, and international importance and are prioritised by the WHO in the Health 2020 concept.
Scientific practice
To be able to plan and conduct research and science at the fh gesundheit with scientific integrity, research staff and students are expected to adhere to good scientific practice as well as scientific honesty, sincerity, transparency and compliance with binding practice. This is also the basis for public trust in the research and development work at the fh gesundheit. Each research staff member at the health university of applied sciences is therefore responsible for basing their working methods on the principles of good scientific practice.
RCSEQ
Transparent, reliable and reproducible research
The RCSEQ is an independent, interdisciplinary decision-making body of the Tyrolean private university UMIT TIROL and the fh gesundheit.
Research should be conducted in a transparent, reliable and reproducible manner. It should respect the rights of the participants and serve the general public. International and European conventions as well as European and national legal standards regulate these proceedings.

In order to maintain scientific integrity at the Health University of Applied Sciences, we expect our research assistants and our students to comply with the agreed scientific practices and display honesty, sincerity, transparency, and a general regard for existing mandatory practices. This is also the foundation upon which the public trust in the research and development work carried out at the Health University of Applied Sciences is built. Each research associate at of the Health University of Applied Science is independently responsible for following the mission statement regarding good scientific practices.
The Health University of Applied Sciences is represented in the "Research Committee for Scientific and Ethical Questions (RCSEQ) ". The RCSEQ is an authorised collegial body of our partner university UMIT in Hall in Tirol and the Health University of Applied Sciences, and was installed to review and assess future studies regarding scientific and ethical criteria.
