Mission Statement

The Health University of Applied Sciences creates and imparts knowledge in the field of healthcare in accordance with international standards. Our responsibility is to provide the healthcare market with highly qualified personnel.

We put people first

Our organisational culture is defined by a humanistic view of the world and its people. We are a forward-thinking institution that acts independently and with a high level of social competence. We not only teach, but we also live and breathe health promotion and lifelong learning.

We nurture health

During the course of their practice-oriented higher education in the field of healthcare, our students develop competencies in subject-specific methodology, science, social communication and interpersonal soft skills. The on-going quality development ensures that our degree programmes and continuing education courses remain up to date and relevant in terms of modern practice and from a scientific and academic standpoint.

Our employees, all proven experts in their respective fields, impart the latest knowledge in accordance with up-to-the-minute teaching practices. In addition to our full-time teaching staff, the fh gesundheit also employs several highly competent part-time lecturers who are entirely familiar with the specific challenges posed by the field of social and health care.

We cultivate knowledge

In our function as an interdisciplinary education facility, we set high standards as regards teaching, research and service. A corporate approach ensures the implementation of research projects, as well as the development of new degree programmes and continuing education courses.

We are a recognised partner for both national and international healthcare institutions and have, for many years now, benefited from a constant exchange of information with our partner institutes Medizinische Universität Innsbruck (Innsbruck Medical University), Leopold-Franzens-Universität (Innsbruck University) and Private Universität für Gesundheitswissenschaften, medizinische Informatik und Technik (University for Health Sciences, Medical Informatics and Technology).

We provide room for thinking and learning

Efficient structures and workflows provide both our staff and our students with support in handling their jobs and assignments. Open and systematised communication facilitates the exchange and development of new knowledge. The virtual and spatial design and amenities promote learning, teaching and research here at the fh gesundheit.

We create networks

Students, graduates, employees, part-time teaching staff, practical instructors and partners are all ambassadors of our values and principles. True to our maxim of lifelong learning, we remain in contact with our graduates.
